Gucci’s design for Aquariva was predicated on respecting the DNA of the original proposal generated by Officina Italiana Design. The Aquariva by Gucci is distinguished by a fibreglass hull and detailing painted in Gucci’s own shade of glossy white, while Riva’s signature use of mahogany with classic varnish finish – twenty coats in total, ten by brushing, ten by spraying – is the signature material for the cockpit, walking decks, and awning cover hatch. The water-resistant fabric covering the seats and sundeck bears the recognizable Guccissima pattern, and the elegance of the Gucci white cotton upholstery defines the bed. The characteristic touch is provided by Gucci’s green-red-green web patterning, which outlines the floating line and complements the distinctive green crystal windshield to perfection. A collection of special Riva by Gucci accessories round out the Gucci personalization.
