She is designed for long-distance family cruising and at 1,300 GT is a high-volume yacht for her size with a layout that is typical of much larger vessels. The first 62Steel was built for a repeat client of Sanlorenzo. In point of fact, her gross tonnage is only 300 GT lower than that of the 64-foot Steel Attila that was introduced in 2019, which featured an additional deck.
The 62Steel has features that are exceptional for a vessel of her size, such as two side-loading garages that can house 31-foot tenders amidships, guest cabins on the main deck, crew services on the lower deck, and an entire deck that is dedicated to the owner. All of these conveniences are typically located together on yachts that are 80 meters in length or longer.
